McDonald’s Burger Factory

If you’ve ever eaten a beef burger in a McDonald’s in the UK it would’ve been made here. OSI Food Solutions make up to three million burgers a day as the sole supplier to the UK and Irish market. British and Irish farmers provide 380,000 cattle a year, with the meat split between McDonalds and Marks & Spencer. The meat is passed through large industrial grinders, made into patties, frozen by liquid nitrogen and packed and stored in their vast warehouse before shipping. The company also produces all of the fast food chain’s breakfast pork patties.
